Overview

Incorrect configuration settings can cause unexpected CCR behavior, including improper brightness step response, remote control failure, communication issues, and regulation irregularities. Restoring known good settings helps return the CCR to a stable, verified configuration.

When to Restore Settings

Restore known good settings when a configuration change caused improper operation, a replacement CCR must match an existing system, troubleshooting indicates a configuration mismatch, or commissioning errors are suspected. This procedure does not replace hardware troubleshooting.

Identify the Correct Settings

Before making changes, confirm the correct values for remote input voltage (24V or 120V), internal vs external remote configuration, brightness step count (3-step or 5-step), communication settings (if equipped), and Parallel Inputs setting. Use installation documentation or previously recorded baseline values.

Restoring a Known Good Configuration

If you experience problems after changing the settings of the CCR after it is in field, and wish to return it to the Airport Lighting Company-setup settings.

To do so navigate to the following menu option: 

Configuration Menu > System Commands > Known Good Settings > Restore Config > [Execute]

This will have the CCR return to the most recent saved configuration. The CCR will ship with a factory-saved configuration that may be overwritten in field.

Note: this will not affect the CCR calibration. This is useful for instances where an option was enabled or disabled, and it is unknown what setting it was.

Restoring a Known Good Calibration

If the CCR is presenting problems with the measurements displayed on-screen vs verified field measurements, it may be helpful to restore the Airport Lighting Company-setup calibration.

To do so, navigate to the following menu option:

Configuration Menu > System Commands > Known Good Settings > Restore Calib > [Execute] 

This will have the CCR return to the previously setup-and-saved calibration. The CCR will ship with a factory-saved calibration that may be overwritten in field. Note: this will not affect the CCR configuration.

Important Notes

Restoring configuration does not clear hardware faults, repair damaged components, or correct wiring errors. It only ensures software configuration matches system requirements.

Configuration changes may immediately affect output behavior. Ensure the series circuit is safe before restoring operational settings.
