Overview

In a 120V Externally Powered configuration, the remote control system supplies 120 VAC to the CCR step input terminals. The CCR does not supply control voltage in this configuration. Improper configuration may result in fuse failure or equipment damage.

Verify Remote System Type

Before wiring, confirm the remote control system supplies 120 VAC. Confirm the system is designed for externally powered operation. Do not use this configuration if the CCR is intended to supply remote control voltage.

Disconnect CCR Supply Power

Disconnect and lock out CCR input power before modifying remote wiring. Verify absence of voltage.

Remove Internal 120V Supply Components

For 120V externally powered remote operation, remove the FA5 fuse. Remove the 120-INT jumper. These components connect the internal 120 VAC supply to the remote circuit. They must be removed to prevent backfeeding internal voltage when external 120 VAC is applied. Failure to remove these components may damage internal circuits.

Connect Step Selection Terminals

Connect B10 through B100 or B1 through B5 to the matching labeled terminal blocks. The B10 through B100 terminals share terminal blocks with B1 through B3. Each terminal corresponds to a specific brightness step.

Connect External 120V Remote Supply

In externally powered configuration, the remote control system supplies 120 VAC directly to the appropriate step input terminals. Do not connect the external 120 VAC supply to the CCI terminal. The CCI terminal is used only for internally powered configurations.

CC / B1 Jumper Consideration

If the control system provides both CC and B1 signals, remove the jumper between CC and B1. If only a single control signal is provided, leave the jumper installed as required for proper operation.

Configure Remote Voltage

After wiring, re-energize the CCR. Enter the Configuration menu (password 9999). Navigate to Input Voltage. Select 120V. Save settings.

Verify Remote Operation

Place CCR in Remote mode. Activate each brightness step from the control system. Confirm correct step response. If the CCR does not respond, verify FA5 fuse has been removed. Confirm 120-INT jumper is removed. Verify external voltage is present at step terminals. Confirm CCR is not in Local mode.

Safety Considerations

Remote control terminals may carry 120 VAC supplied from an external source. Verify voltage source before servicing. Always de-energize external control circuits before modifying wiring.
