Overview

In a 24V Internally Powered configuration, the CCR supplies 24 VAC control voltage to the remote system. The remote control system returns that voltage to the appropriate step input terminals to command brightness levels. This configuration uses the CCR’s internal 24 VAC control supply.

Verify Remote System Type

Before wiring, confirm the remote control system operates on 24 VAC. Confirm the system is intended to use CCR-supplied control voltage. Incorrect voltage selection may result in non-operation.

Disconnect CCR Supply Power

Disconnect and lock out CCR input power before modifying remote wiring. Verify absence of voltage.

Connect Step Selection Terminals

Connect B10 through B100 or B1 through B5 to the matching labeled terminal blocks. The B10 through B100 terminals share terminal blocks with B1 through B3. Each terminal corresponds to a brightness step command.

Connect Remote Control Common

For 24V internally powered systems, connect the remote control common wire to the designated common terminal. The CCR supplies 24 VAC to the remote circuit. External switches return the 24 VAC to the appropriate step input terminals. Do not apply external voltage in this configuration.

CC / B1 Jumper Consideration

If the control system includes both CC and B1 wires, remove the jumper between CC and B1. If the system does not provide a separate B1 signal, leave the jumper installed.

Configure Input Voltage

After wiring is complete, re-energize the CCR. Enter the Configuration menu (password 9999). Navigate to Input Voltage. Select 24V. Save settings.

Verify Operation

Place the CCR in Remote mode. Activate each brightness step from the control system. Confirm proper step response. If remote control does not function, verify CCR is in Remote mode. Confirm 24V configuration is selected. Inspect wiring continuity. Verify 24 VAC is present at the remote common terminal.

Safety Considerations

Remote control terminals may be energized. Always verify voltage before servicing. Even though 24 VAC is lower voltage, it must be treated as an energized circuit.
