Overview

Certain loads on a series circuit may contain larger capacitors, such as signs. When the CCR energizes the circuit, the capacitors must charge before current returns to the CCR. If the CCR does not detect current within the configured threshold duration, it may interpret the condition as an Open Circuit.

The Open Circuit trip duration can be adjusted within the CCR configuration menu.

Procedure

1. Navigate to CCR Config.

2. Enter the password (default: 9999).

3. Navigate to Output Current.

4. Navigate to Open Circuit Trip.

5. Select Duration.

The FAA standard maximum is 2 seconds (120 cycles at 60 Hz).

Increase the cycle count until the CCR stops tripping.
Then reduce the cycle count as much as possible without causing the CCR to trip.
