Overview

The CCR supports remote control operation through designated terminal blocks. Remote control allows external systems to turn the CCR ON or OFF, select brightness steps, and monitor operational status (if configured). Remote wiring connects to labeled control terminals within the CCR cabinet.

Terminal Designations

Remote control terminals are identified as B1 through B5 or B10 through B100. These terminals are used for step selection and control inputs, depending on configuration. Terminal usage depends on 3-step or 5-step configuration, 24V or 120V remote control setup, and internally or externally powered remote configuration.

Local vs Remote Mode

The CCR must be placed in Remote mode for external control to function. When in Remote mode, the DCMU responds to remote terminal inputs. Front panel step selection is disabled. If the CCR is in Local mode, remote commands will not operate the regulator.

Remote Voltage Options

Remote control inputs may be configured for 24 VAC or 120 VAC. Configuration settings must match the applied remote control voltage. Incorrect voltage selection may cause fuse failure or non-operation.

Internal vs External Power

The remote interface may be configured as internally powered (CCR supplies control voltage) or externally powered (remote system supplies voltage). Configuration must match wiring. Improper wiring may result in non-responsive control or blown F5 fuse (in 120V internally powered configuration).

Common Remote Issues

If remote control does not function, verify CCR is in Remote mode. Confirm correct remote voltage configuration. Inspect F5 fuse (120V internal remote only). Verify terminal wiring matches configuration. Confirm external control system is functioning.

Safety Considerations

Remote control terminals may be energized. Always de-energize and verify absence of voltage before modifying wiring.
