Background on Lamp Out Feature

The Lamp Out feature is optional and is only available on the Type L-829 CCR. It is not present on the Type L-828. The Lamp Out feature monitors the series circuit for failed lamps by comparing the measured circuit current to the expected current for the selected brightness step and the configured number of lamps. If the current drops below the calculated threshold for the number of lamps out, the Lamp Alarm is triggered. The feature requires accurate configuration of the number of lamps and periodic calibration to function correctly. If the Lamp Out feature is not installed on your CCR (i.e., L-828 model) and the Lamp Alarm warning appears, it may be necessary to disable the feature in CCR Configuration to prevent false warnings.

Warning Description

The lamp out alarm threshold has been met. When the CCR determines a warning or setpoint alarm, it will engage the indicator light and the warning will be shown on line 1 of the CCR display. The CCR will continue to operate in the event of a warning. Although the CCR will continue operating, warning conditions must still be noted and fixed. Allowing the CCR to operate in a warning state may cause problems for efficiency, general safety, and longevity of equipment.

Attempt to Correct

Always maintain safe working conditions by using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) where necessary.
The connected circuit has lamps out that need to be replaced.
If no circuit lamps are out, or the incorrect number is displayed, refer to Lamp Out for more information about the Lamp Out feature and calibration procedures.
If the Lamp Out feature is not installed (Type L-828), disable it in CCR Configuration to clear false warnings.
