Overview

In a 24V Externally Powered configuration, the remote control system supplies 24 VAC to the CCR step input terminals. The CCR does not supply control voltage in this configuration. Incorrect configuration may result in improper operation.

Verify Remote System Type

Before wiring, confirm the remote control system supplies 24 VAC. Confirm the system is intended to operate as externally powered. Do not use this configuration if the CCR is intended to supply remote control voltage.

Disconnect CCR Supply Power

Disconnect and lock out CCR input power before modifying remote wiring. Verify absence of voltage.

Confirm Internal Supply Is Not Used

For 24V externally powered configuration, do not connect remote common to any internally supplied voltage terminal. Ensure no internal 24V supply is feeding the remote circuit. This prevents backfeeding control voltage.

Connect Step Selection Terminals

Connect B10 through B100 or B1 through B5 to the matching labeled terminal blocks. The B10 through B100 terminals share terminal blocks with B1 through B3. Each terminal corresponds to a brightness step. The external remote system must supply 24 VAC to the desired step input terminal.

CC / B1 Jumper Consideration

If the control system provides both CC and B1 signals, remove the jumper between CC and B1. If only one control signal is provided, leave the jumper installed as required.

Configure Input Voltage

After wiring, re-energize the CCR. Enter the Configuration menu (password 9999). Navigate to Input Voltage. Select 24V. Save settings.

Verify Remote Operation

Place the CCR in Remote mode. Activate each brightness step from the external control system. Confirm correct step response. If the CCR does not respond, verify CCR is in Remote mode. Confirm configuration matches 24V. Verify external 24 VAC is present at the step input terminals. Inspect control wiring continuity.

Safety Considerations

Remote control terminals may carry 24 VAC from an external source. Always verify voltage source before servicing. Even low-voltage control circuits must be treated as energized until confirmed otherwise.
