T25 Torx driver.

Power Off and Lockout

Ensure the Constant Current Regulator (CCR) is fully powered down and locked out before beginning disassembly.

Remove the Cap

Use a T25 Torx driver to remove the four screws securing the cap to the fixture body.
Lift the cap straight up and set it aside.
The cap orientation defines Side A and Side B light engine positions.

Disconnect the Connector Board

Locate the connector board seated between the power/control board and both light engines.
Carefully lift the connector board vertically to disengage it from all three sets of pins.
Avoid twisting or angling the board — the pin headers are fragile.
Set the board aside in a clean, static-safe area.

Remove the Power/Control Board

Grip the power/control board near its top edge and lift straight up with steady, even pressure.
The board slides into side guide grooves and is connected by two mating connectors:
- Top Connector: Interfaces with the connector board (bridging to the light engines).
- Bottom Connector: Mates with the input board mounted to the fixture base.
Apply upward force evenly to disengage both connectors at once — do not rock or twist the board.
If the board gets wedged in the grooves, be cautious and back up and re attempt.

Install a Known Working Power/Control Board

Align the replacement board with the internal guide grooves.
Slide the board straight down until it is fully seated in the base.
Ensure the connector inserts into its mate on the input board properly — do not force.
The board should sit flush and level inside the fixture housing.

Reinstall the Connector Board

Align the connector board so that each of its three pin slots matches with the power/control board and both light engines.
Press down gently and evenly until the board is fully seated at all three points.
Confirm that the board sits flat and is not flexing.

Reinstall the Cap

Place the cap back onto the fixture.
Use a T25 driver to reinstall the four screws, applying firm downward pressure to compress the gasket evenly.

Restore Power and Test

Re-energize the CCR.
Step through the intensity levels and observe light engine behavior.
Confirm that both sides illuminate properly and respond to power level changes.
If the fixture now functions as expected, the original power/control board may be considered failed.

Safety Reminder

Always maintain safe working conditions by using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) where necessary.
Only qualified service personnel should perform power/control board replacement on airfield LED fixtures.
Follow lock out / tag out procedures and verify absence of hazardous voltage before disassembly or handling boards/connectors.
